Meet Me at Beachcomber Bay by Jill Mansell @JillMansell @headlingpg

Love is in the air in St Carys, but you'd never know it - the people of this seaside town are very good at keeping secrets...
The man Clemency loves belongs to someone else. She has to hide her true feelings - but when she ropes in an unsuspecting friend to help, wires start to get crossed.
For the first time in Ronan's life his charm has failed him in winning over the woman he wants. Loving her from afar appears to be his only option.
Belle seems to have the perfect boyfriend, but something isn't quite right. And now a long-buried secret is slowly rising to the surface.
The truth has a funny way of revealing itself, and when it does St Carys will be a very different place indeed...

Meet Me at Beachcomber Bay by Jill Mansell was published by Headline Review in hardback on 12 January 2017.

I read a lot of books, lots of books make their way into my house. I love a good debut, or a gory crime thriller, but I get a very special feeling when the latest Jill Mansell book pops through my letterbox. She really is writer royalty and never fails to entertain me with her heartwarming stories, scrumptious characters and utterly engaging writing.

Set in Cornwall, this really is Clem's story; a wonderfully modern, yet romantic heroine who is one of those characters that you'd love to go out for a drink with. With her supporting cast, including the gorgeous Ronan, the elusive Sam and the snooty Belle, and the delicious Cornwall seaside setting, Jill Mansell has once again delivered a story that is full of heart and a joy to read.

On the face of it, Meet Me at Beachcomber Bay could be considered a feel-good story about a bunch of beautiful people, in the Cornish sunshine, and yes it is, but Jill Mansell is incredibly talented at incorporating darker and more serious themes into her stories and this one deals with a myriad of modern-day problems, and deals with them extremely well.

This book is one of my all-time favourite stories from an author that I've admired for many years. It is charming, atmospheric and brilliantly written. A novel that will captivate the reader. It's irresistible and I loved it.  I've already bought a copy as a gift and I know that it will be loved by the recipient.

My thanks to the publisher who sent my copy for review.
