Listen by Deborah Pezzuto @LifePezzuto with Linda Watson-Brown @lwatsonbrown @RandomTTours BLOG TOUR #Listen

In 2012, Deborah had everything. A beautiful baby daughter, a wonderful life in New York with her loving husband, and a much-wanted pregnancy of twin boys. Within hours of their birth, her world collapsed when she was told that both babies were profoundly deaf. As she fights for the future of her sons, Deborah finds a strength she never knew existed. Exhausted, drained, challenged, but never broken, this is her story . . . a story to inspire any woman who knows what it is to fight. In her incredible memoir, Deborah shares the lessons she learned and the strategies she used to save her children – and herself.

My thanks to the author who sent my copy for review as part of this #RandomThingsTours Blog Tour

This is Deborah Pezzuto's own story, and it told with a warmth and honesty that shines through in every page.

Deborah puts family at the heart of her book. She recounts her childhood days, living in Italy and how parents loved and supported her. The book is dedicated to her own father who had a massive impact on her, and how she went on to live her life.

The reader learns how Deborah left Italy to find work in the US, and then met and married her husband. From the outset, Deborah was determined to become a mother, and it is with heartbreaking clarity she details the anguish of their journey to parenthood. There is joy as their adopted daughter Keisha joins them, and celebration as the arduous process of IVF finally works and they find that they are expecting twins.

When those twin boys; Dylan and Zack are diagnosed as profoundly deaf, it seems as though their world is going to crumble. However, Deborah's strength and determination ensures that the boys' lives are lived to their fullest. Despite the difficulties involved and what appears to be at times, impossible, Deborah works tirelessly to make sure that her boys thrive. She learns new technology, and terminology and never gives up.

Deborah Pezzuto writes with passion, her story is told in such a way that the reader feels that they too are part of this amazing family.

This is a book that is filled with love and hope and dogged determination. A mother's love really does not know any boundaries.
