All The Missing Girls is written in reverse and can be a challenging read. The author tests the reader, keeping them on the ball, slipping in seemingly unimportant facts and conversations which take on more meaning as the story progresses, or regresses, depending on how you look at it.
Only a very skilled author could pull this off, and Megan Miranda does it with ease. The plotting and telling is ambitious, the small-town setting is moody and unsettling and the characters grow, page by page.
All The Missing Girls is intriguing, slow-burning and clever. It is not an easy read by any means, it requires complete concentration, but the back-to-front storytelling contains twists and turns a plenty and will thrill fans of dark, psychological thrillers.
